Aliakbar Hosseini
Aliakbar Hosseini received his BSc degree in Physics in 2020, where his thesis focused on Constructing a Spark Emission Spectroscopy System for Analyzing Soil. In his final undergraduate year, he became a member of Iran's National Elites Foundation, where he received a scholarship as part of a team project. His role involved devising and designing a data acquisition system for examination of an electrochromic cell's characteristics.
After that, he was admitted to the Laser and Plasma Research Institute (LAPRI) at Shahid Beheshti University for his master's degree in Photonics without taking the National Entrance Exam. He graduated in 2023, and his thesis was on designing and constructing a fast, accurate autofocusing system for microscopy and spectroscopy applications. With this system, he captured Raman and 3D images from the surface of samples using a non-confocal Raman microscope.
While studying for his master's, Aliakbar also worked at Teksan Co, where he gained experience on several industrial projects related to spectroscopy and electronics. In 2024, he started his PhD at Radboud University, where he is developing laser-based spectroscopy systems for gas phase contamination detection in real-life applications.
